Home Care Funding Solutions

At Caring Touch Home Health Care, we understand how challenging it can be to provide quality care for your loved ones while managing the financial burden. You’re not alone, and we’re here to help. There are funding programs available through federal government initiatives, provincial support, and private insurance plans that can make home care more accessible and affordable.

Interim Federal Health Program (IFHP)

If your loved one is a refugee, asylum seeker, or protected person, they may qualify for the Interim Federal Health Program (IFHP). This program provides essential health care services, including home care, to help people during difficult transitions. Caring Touch will help you figure out if you’re eligible, guide you through the application process, and ensure you get the support you need.

Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC)

For those caring for a veteran, programs like the Veterans Independence Program (VIP) offer financial support for home care services. These programs help veterans stay in their own homes with assistance for daily tasks and health monitoring. Caring Touch is dedicated to ensuring veterans receive the care, respect, and dignity they deserve by making the process straightforward and stress-free.

Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP)

Both active and retired RCMP members may be eligible for home care benefits through federal programs. Whether it’s health support or assistance with daily living, Caring Touch is here to help you understand your options and handle the necessary paperwork, so your family can access the care they need.

Canadian Armed Forces (CAF)

CAF members often face unique health challenges that require specialized support. Federal programs can cover home care services to assist with recovery and ongoing care. Caring Touch ensures CAF members and their families receive personalized care tailored to their specific needs.

Passport Funding Program

Passport is a funding program that helps adults 18 and older with a developmental disability participate in their communities, build independence, and supports caregivers by providing respite. Caring Touch Home Health Care assists families with navigating the Passport process, including eligible support and documentation, making it easier to access and use funding through this reimbursement-based program.

Family-Managed Home Care Program

Family-Managed Home Care allows eligible patients or their substitute decision-makers to receive funding to choose their own care providers, control how and when care is delivered, and manage related administrative responsibilities. Approved through Ontario Health atHome, this program supports children with complex medical needs, adults with acquired brain injuries, home-schooled children, and patients in extraordinary circumstances. Caring Touch Home Health Care can support you by providing qualified nurses and personal support workers, helping implement your care plan, and easing the day-to-day coordination of care so you can focus on what matters most.

WSIB (Workplace Safety and Insurance Board)

If your loved one’s needs are related to a workplace injury, an assessment will determine the funding for care that may include rehabilitation support to daily living assistance.
